Buddy System program available for elderly who live alone

From Lake Royale Company Police Department —

Reminder for our Operation Buddy Check System. This system is designed to make sure our residents that are not able to get out as much recieve the same commitment of service as those that we see at events. We want to make sure we hear your voice and ensure there is nothing Officers can do to assist. Applications are located at the Police Department in the lobby near the Medicine Drop Box or you can reach out at rjordan.lrpd@lrpoa.com

This program is primarily for residents that are 65 years of age or older, have a medical condition, and live alone. This does not mean you strictly have to have these conditions, we will gladly speak with others needing assistance and work with anyone specifically. During this program, a member of the Police Department will be assigned to reach out at least once every two weeks to speak with you. This is to ensure that nothing is needed and we can not be of assistance. It also allows us to know more residents and be more informed on the concerns of residents that may not normally be out at functions. We will also ensure that we have access to you in an emergency, along with an emergency contact and any vital information we would be able to pass along to EMS should the need arise. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to reach out!
