A Lake Royale homeowner is arrested for threatening utility workers as they attempt to shut off the water at his residence.
On Monday, Feb. 6, Capt. J.J. Clark, of the Lake Royale Company Police Department, was dispatched to a disturbance on Mahto Drive. Clark determined the water corporation was on site attempting to perform a shut off on a residence when the homeowner came out brandishing a firearm and pointing it at the workers. They were able to safely leave the area and contact the police. After completing the investigation, warrants were obtained on the homeowner, Ricky Cole.
The warrants were served by Capt. Clark on Tuesday, Feb. 7 and Cole was arrested without incident at his home.
Cole was secured in the Franklin County Detention Center under a $4,000 secured bond on two counts of assault by pointing firearm and two counts of communicating threats.
